OK, when people or competitions ask the sugar levels what is the gravity reading?

I know;

Dry is less than 1%

Semi-dry is 1-2%

Semi-sweet is 2-3%

Sweet is over 3%

Now,what would the gravity (range)read for each one?

I found this a while ago on Jack K's site.

ok - that seems quite a bit different than what is in the book that comes with George's kits - ("Enjoy home winemaking") -

dry - .990-1.000
medium dry - 1.000-1.008
sweet over 1.008

Not that much different, just breaks down the sweetness levels a bit more.
