Today is memorial day and I usually spend it with friends having a bbq and being grateful for our freedom. But today I find myself in Paris. It is a beautiful city with beautiful scenery and art. And I am also remembering our US soldiers who gave their lives in Normandy to liberate this country.

I decided to spend this afternoon wandering around Pere Lachaise cemetery. It is a most magical place. I visit every time I visit Paris. Today I paid hommage to two of my favorite musicians. And wandering around this incredible place I couldn't help saying a silent thank you to our fallen soldiers that made this place free and available to me to visit.
