So last night a local sommelier tried our Gewurtztraminer and had a generally favorable impression of it. Next thing you know they are telling us of a local vineyard that supplies grapes to wineries, and they know someone there, and how I can use their equipment to destem and crush and......

My eyes sort of glazed over at that point. It could have been all the wine I was drinking, it could have been the talk about large barrels and malolactic fermentation.

I remember when I really struggled over the purchase of my second primary fermenter.....

Why do all that work when a professional can do it for you? It's fun to try but I'll stick with the kits for wine from grapes.
