Hi I am new to growing grapes and opted to grow frontenac grapes which are cold hardy (I’m in northern Massachusetts). I have one vine which has taken off but another where growth seems to have trailed off. I just transplanted it to a more open area and used compost, peat moss and garden soil mixture. This has been a particularly wet summer. I’m not sure what the issue is with the vine and whether it’s gotten too much water, not enough fertilizer or if the issue is that it wasn’t getting the proper drainage in the initial pot I had it in. Is there a way I can trouble shoot and save this vine? I’m attaching pictures of the vine which has taken off vs. the one I’m concerned about.
