Hello everyone! Very excited to be a part of this forum! Just started wine making using my Grampy's Green Tomato Wine recipe.
I have everything in the big tank now and just added the yeast but I never thought of how much room I should have left for bubbling and whatnot?
Am I going to have a huge mess?
Thanks for any help and suggestions!!

My rule of thumb is to leave about 30% headspace in my primary.

Hi! Thanks for the reply!
I only left about 4 inches from the top. It's starting to bubble some 1 day after adding the yeast.
Think I should remove some into a smaller tank to make some room?
Will ratios get messed up?
Thanks again!

For now, I would just keep it as it is. You will probably be fine but I would definitely keep an eye on it.
