I have an RJS Pinot Noir
kit In the primary concluding a very strong ferment.
The instructions to leave it in there for 14 days before racking.
Doesn't that seem a tad long ? Especially after a strong fermentation.

I think they combined primary and secondary into one. That's why.

If it is done fermenting, time to rack.

Yeah, these are the "New" instructions for most all kits. I'd either: 1) Follow instructions or 2) go by the Specific Gravity for racking into secondary.
