Hi. I am currently working on a pinot noir winery in the central otago region of new Zealand. The owners and myself are relatively new to winemaking and growing and I want to help them and myself better understand the processes. They have a small pond on their property which they use for irrigation purposes. Would it be possible to mix in natural fertilizers or nutrients into the pond and then distributed among the vines? If so, what would be the best way to do so and with which nutrients, or would they just be better to be directly sprayed onto the roots of the vines and not lost over a wider area. Any suggestions or questions would be helpful. Thanks.
