Battonage question

I have been doing "battonage" for a month and now it's time for me to stabilize and clear my wine.My problem is that the wine sheet instrouctions contradict with my battonage instructions.

Battonage instructions say to transfer to a clean carboy then stabilize and clear.










Wine instructions say if I rack before stabilizing and clearing that the wine won't clear.



I'm confused!!!

Follow the battonage instructions, rack then add the clarifiers. According to Tim Vandergrift, there are still plenty of solids for the clarifiers to work.
