The vines need to be trimmed back in the dead of winter, during dormancy, for optimal bearing of fruit. However, my understanding is the expected bearing life of these vines is 20-25 years.
Follow Ison's planting/growing/fertilization instructions that came with your plants and you will be fine! You can put your grow tubes on now, in your part of the country. You only want ONE main shoot going to your trellis wire!!
Julie, I notice you have done many muscadine alone and combos. Are there any problems that you run into with these, that I should be particularly aware of in making? Thanks for any tips about these. Henry
Steve, Where did you get your plastic DIVIDED milk carton you use for bottling. The handles make it SO MUCH easier to move and carry than fighting the slippery cardboard ones!! Henry
