    What juices to use

I have had good success with the $3-4 quarts of 100% juice from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods...or the hipster section of the local grocery store. They are usually in glass bottles. I have made the stuff listed below, usually in 1 gallon batches. Pomegranate Pomegranate/Cherry Cranberry...

    Used a blender... oh no!

So... I replaced the blended blackberries with new fresh ones. Fermentation was executed without abnormalities. I have the Elderberry/Blackberry in a carboy now. Although I am a little upset with myself because I had to top off about 3 quarts, I used water, and I am afraid that may dilute it...

SG was 1.081 when all was said and done last night. I think if I swap out the same amount of fruit and maybe add some water I'll be ok in that regard. I'm thinking of calling my wife and having her take the bag out. If she does that right now time will only be 15 hrs.

Angelina, thank you for that. I don't care if it kills me, I just don't want it to taste bad...haha My plan is: When I get home today the blended berries will have been in the must for about 19 hours. I'll hit up the store on the way home and get new fruit, take the bad stuff out, put the...

    Using Concentrate AND Fruit?

I'm planning on making some Elderberry wine. For me, it seems, the best thing is going to be using homewinery.com's concentrate. From reading previous posts, and e-mailing them, one of their 64oz bottles will make a great 3 gallons of wine and an ok 5 gallons. (yes I know they are designed...
