    kool-aid wine

    In a recent post someone brought up kool-aid wine. does anyone have a good recipe? I'm thinking that you would have to add the Kool-Aid after fermentation. I've read a couple places that fermented Kool-Aid is nasty , so I was thinking just a plain sugar based wine flavored with Kool-Aid.

    Picked up 50lbs of chambourcin grapes today, they are resting nicely in a fermenter dreaming of the little yeasties to join them.

    The monster press works!!

    We press the grapes today and the press worked great! I forget who brought up the front leg but, your right , I need to trim it back a little more . the sides were 3/4 " strips and they were fine. The press worked great ! All in all it was uneventful.:db:db:r:r

    OK Don't laugh. Heres my press. W we made it from 2x6s. I still need to get a jack for it,Harbor Freight has a camper jack I think I'm gonna make fit.Its 2 ton so I think it will be enough.If I done it right heres a pic of the press and my help.

    got grapes !!!!

    Got my grapes this morning and they are resting comfortably in my fermenter/garbage can. Pickin 100lbs of grapes and crushing is a lot of work ! It wore me and 4 grandkids out.
