I just got back from picking up 23 cases of bottles. The Gewürztraminer foamed over. So I had to clean up another mess. My basement smells wonderful :)

I stabilized the Welches wine, started the Kerner and cleaned up some spill over from the one Chardonnay. I know I should of had some grape juice that morning. Last night I picked up 2 my wife's favorite wine kits and saved 15% on both.. SCORE :D:b Now I have to see if I can score 3 more carboys :)

Yesterday I picked up my grape juice order and this morning istarted my first batch of Chardonnay. Tonight I hope to start some of the other grapes.

This is my wife, our 20 year old cat and I.

I design my own using Photoshop and the Avery website for the printer layout. I print mine on Avery labels 8164 using an ink jet printer. Then give them a couple coats of spray polyurethane to keep the colour from bleeding out when they get wet. It's your wine. Just as long as you can...

Sometimes I'll overindulge and finish a bottle in a day. But normally its only a glass a night. I like to drink wine for the taste (or at least I keep telling myself that :))and not to get drunk on.

I use a handle here because most people cannot pronounce my last name correctly. :> Otherwise using real names wouldn't bother me like facebook

We (the wife and I) are still buying from the store. But I'm bottling my first 2 batches this weekend. Once we have our own reserves I think the only wine we'll buy will be from the smaller wineries.

Once it's done I'll let you know how it tastes. The first one I made is from Welch's White Grape concentrate.

I use a vacuum pump. Great for degassing, transferring and bottling
