Do you listen to music in the lab? If so what?

I have recently been listening to "oldies" country, George Jones, Merle Haggard etc on Pandora. Dang what a message they sing. Sent from my iPad using Wine Making

    Winemaking

My son works at Whole Foods OKC and he is on their Facebook page (I don't know how to paste it here), but it has him pictured with him "making a new batch". Now you winemakers may get a kick out of this...who makes a new batch with the primary and the secondary in the same photo? It is a nice...

    DangerDave's Dragon Blood Wine

I think you would be fine with that. I bottle mine in mason jars and have never had an issue. But we go through it pretty fast as well. If you want to store some back for a good while you may want to bottle it in wine bottles. Others are much more knowledgable than I am, but that is my 2 cents...

    Feeling Proud!

That is a neat story. My dad made wine and I was just never interested at that time. He passed away in 2001 and now I've been making wine for about 3 years. What a great time it would be to share my wine with him today. If I may suggest to you, savor the moment....and may you have many more.

    dont be scared..show your age

Ray mentioned the party line on the telephone, my oh my we had some fun with that one. 53 years old here. My dad always said "the older you get, the faster time goes". Now that I am at that age, it really seems true. Seems like years don't even matter anymore, seasons just change.

I have tried all cherry with lime juice, all cherry with lemon juice, triple berries with lemon and also lime. You can vary this recipe in so...

what you will not part with....

My Dad passed away in 2001 and he made wine when I was growing up. He would only make 2 or 3 batches a year from the grapes vines or apple tree in the back yard. I began to make wine about 3 years ago. I asked mom where dad's winemaking stuff was. I remembered that she sold the carboys, she...

RMWO, I have to say you have my respect. I am enjoying reading all of this and let me encourage you...

    For first time making wine

It looks, like you would also needs some corks and something to cork with. I would just go ahead and buy a floor corker, they are somwhat pricey (70 dollar range), but a hand corker is in the 35 dollar range And a hand corker is kind of a pain to use, the floor corker is so much easier on the...
