    Bubbles in Bottles

    Nedd some advice - just bottled my first wine, used the bucket bottle filler thingy from here. Unfortunately, I kept getting air in the line or when filling the bottle could hear air. Now ready to cork but many have bubbles on top. Should I leave bottles open until all bubbles disappear? Warren

    Primary Fermenter

    New to the game, looked for this answer but figured I'd ask the experts: Any reason why a bucket is used for the primary fermenting rather than going straight to the glass carboy? The obvious answer is convenience while mixing, pouring etc. Any other reason I'm missing? Thanks Warren

    WineXpert Not 10 dys yet but...

    Transferred my Vinters reserve kit 6 days ago to second fermentor, carboy. All bubbles stopped about 2 days ago. Just checked density with hydrometer, 0.994. Kit instructions says wait 10 days then if less than 0.996 stabilize, clear, rack.We're shy of ten days should I procedd to next step...

    Racking my 1st wine

    This may sound wierd but just racked my first wine into the carboy.
