    Mosti Mondiale Rose

My wife gave me a Rose kit for Christmas. This is my first kit. I pitched the yeast last night and there was plenty of action this morning. I just have a couple of questions: 1) the starting SG was 1.080 - isn't that a bit low? 2) the instruction say nothing about stiring. With fruit...

    F-Pack for Cranberry?

I bottled my cranberry wine, but I thought it was too light so I put it back in the carboy. Is it too late to add an F-Pack? I was thinking about buying some frozen blackberries, reduce them down to a heavy syrup on the stove, strain, adding it to the carboy, then bulk aging for another few...

    Cranberry No Fermentation

I added yeast, sprinkle on top method on January 3rd. I took a SG but I didn't write it down and now can't remember what it was. There has been no action going on, so I took another SG just now and it's at 1.12. I don't know the must temperature, but I'm assuming it is low because I have it in...

    Primary Tutorial

Is there a tutorial for primary fermentation? It seems most recipes are vague in this area since, I presume, most hobby wine makers are well versed in this area. Being a noob, I find myself scratching the thinker when I'm deciphering fermentation. For example, I'm following a cranberry recipe...

    Next Wine

My pumpkin is making magic. I have a three gallon primary and two one gallon jugs just sitting there, clean and empty! Thinking that if I start a one gallon something or other it will be ready to drink next Christmas. So- what to do? Any suggestions for one gallon wine recipes? I haven't found a...

I've been lurking long enough to read almost every post, decided to join in on the action. Haven't made a wine yet, but looking forward to getting started after Thanksgiving. I'll probably continue lurking until I'm ready for my first attempt, then will bug the heck out of all of you!
