    Elderberry plus

That's it Richard. No ill effects from drinking it. I froze it from last summer to late Fall before I made it, maybe that helped. Also it was added to a can of Elderberry.

    Elderberry plus

Thebest batch of wine Imade last year included a can of Vintner's Harvest Elderberry. I added about 10 # of wild elderberry I picked, from my neighbor's land, to make a 6 gal batch. It was outstanding. The wild elderberry I picked looked just like the picture of elderberry on the cover of a...

    Replacing my orchard

NW & Rich it just gets funnier & funnier or is it worser & worser. Walking around the pond I found 5 out of 6 cherry trees died (must have been while there was no irrigation) that weren't in myprev. count. Actually, I got them to pay a small fortune for destroying my orchard. I...

    Replacing my orchard

An update. What's that line from a song: "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!" When they dug the large mud pit that destroyed my orchard, they had cut though the 1.25" water line & elec lines to the well I use for irrigating the property. They were supposed to...

    topping off Dandelion wine

Termini, First - I know nothing about dendelion wine. But, for a headspace problem after racking here's something I found out be experimenting. I had a batch of blackberry & got careless & quite a bit spilled. After my wife was through laughing, I found a lot of headspace after...

Carboys , Head space and O2, water cooler carboy

Termini, No problem using them. I use the blue water bottles all the time, great weight advantage, but harder to clean/sanitize. I do limit my use to secondary fermentation or short term aging - just in case.

    Congratulations to George!

Way to go George! I thought about entering a 2006 MUscadine I have, but procrastinated. Now I see they had no entries in the Native American category!! Waldo, are you listening?

Mosti Mondiale George, I am so jealous

George & MArk, Our sympathies are with you and your families. Both mine & LInda's Mom were in Hospice before they passed & it was the best thing for them. It will take time, but things will get better.
