I would be afraid of the reostat on an unknown motor. I work with motors every day and that is one of the best ways to blowa motor that is not madeforreduced power.
I would use a water bottle to transport juice.I would even use one to make wine in to see if I wanted to get into the wine making hobby ( I did )I would not use the same one twice and I would not bulk age in it.

yes, I do it all the time. I just started an orange pineapple wine Saturday. I used about 30 oranges with 12 cans of pineapple cocentrate (6 gal)
I also make a strawberry kiwi -16 pounds of strawberry with 10 cans of kiwi cocentrate (6 gal)
