    Yes is is stainless and there was a piece of hose and a spigot in side also,but it looks like it needs replaceing.

    Thank Appleman I had a great birthday.I have been busy makeing wine for a guy that has 4000 hybread grapes planted.I also planted hybreads and yes i willget some next year I think but only have 10 vines.Doing real well for Nevada.We made 11 gal of frontenac.

    Dateing lables

    When you bulk age wine what date would you put on the lable?The date you started it,the date you could bottle and decieded to bulk age ,or the date you bottle even if it 6mo or a year later? Archie

    Joe I was thinking that it might be a little to sharp to drink right away,so I was going to back sweeten part to be able to drink now.As it turned out it tasted just fine so I didn't do anything.

    I am ready to bottle tomorrow and I want to back sweeten my merlot.I was planing on useing Grape juice.I noticest that it says refrigerate after opening.I know that I have used grape juice before and not had a problem.Is it alright to use this type of juice to back sweeten?I am using Minute Maid...

    Masta I checked the ph when I got home,come to find out my wife had a digital tester that goes from 0 to 20.Anyway the ph was 3.7 just about perfect,so I did some reading and found that tha receipt called for 1/2 tsp of energizer but the jar of netrient called for 1 tsp to the gal.So I added...

    Masta I added 4tsp of malic acid and 1/2 cup of orange rines dried.I didn't have any tartaric acid.I will have to wait till I get home to test the ph.I did test the acid and it looked like 6% before I added the orange rines.I am at work now so I will get back to you tomrrow.Thanks again ,also...

    I am making the dry mead receipt from this web site.I used champain yeast and neutrians.It was started 1 week ago and it seems to have stalled.It has only droped from 1.08 to 1.07. Can I add more yeast or just add more neutrians?Edited by: Archie

    Waldo I checked With my wife <the computer boss>and she said the font that she used is called Fraktur BT ,looks like it fits with the Dragon. If you get one of the pewter wine glasses don't use it to test new wine,it will make it taste better.
