    Ever of mead going. Went with an orange blossom should blend well with some red Zinfandel I have. Will be keeping some as just a plain mead as well...

    Plain Mead to mix with wine

    Have not made any meads but looking for just a plain sweet mead to mix with a few wines. Riesling 30% mead 70% and a few others. Basic mead recipe for just a mead needed.

    Yeast question

    Ok ordered some juices from finger lakes. Have niagra juice coming and want this to finish sweet with out and f-pack so back sweeting will not be an option here. Need a yeast that will kill it self say around 12-14% alco this way I can start with a sweeter must and and end up with sugar left over.

    Yeast Blending on Juice buckets

    Ok waiting on my buckets of juice and have been thinking ( yes I know thats a bad thing lol ) I have 3 Chardonnay coming and all with be placed in a 100Lt tank and thinking of Starting yeast will be standard D47 but a few days into it Im thinking of adding BA11 to help bing out other flavors...

    Have a friend that can get me plastic food grade barrels but the had soybean or canola oil in them. Any real chance of cleaning them for aging?

    Was bored

    Started this the other day, 75Lbs of Frozen Strawberry, Peach, Mango, and Pineapple. Should be about 8 gallons. Smells amazing!! All bought thru Aldi's was on sale for $1.50Lbs was $1.99 so I bout 100lbs:)

    Think my D-47 is dead

    Ive trid just pitching it rehydrating it and no activity at all. Says best at 59 to 68 degree's so fermentors is at 66 degrees. No drop in readings.. Dammn have 7 packs of it in fridge, Had issue with in in my last batch of skittles wine as well...
