Rough Spring for Virginia Wineries

It's been cold. And of course, it was nice and warm in March, bringing buds and flowers out all over the place. Wineries are trying to keep things going at all costs. A controlled burn last night at Breaux.

Unusually cool for a protracted period for a lot of the South, for sure. This is more like the springs I knew up North, but earlier on the calendar. It's weather variations like this that keep me from acting on the urge to plant vines.
