I was in the vineyard leaf thinning and looking for pests with my bucket of water and Malathion. No Japanese beetles but a couple stink bugs, dropped them in the bucket and they just kept swimming and trying to escape, so I added a bit of permethrin. 10 seconds later they were dead. For some reason I thought Malathion would kill them, but now I know to use permethrin if I need to spray later in the season
