Rather happy with the results. I took the pan and the plunger down to bare metal. I then gave it 2 coats of food safe epoxy paint.
The finish turned out great! seems like it is very durable.
I really should have painted the whole thing, but I did not order enough. I had a choice of either doing the entire press OR just do the pan/plunger and use the remaining paint on my destemmer. I chose to do the destemmer (forgot to take a picture of it) which also turned out great.
