Hello fellow grape growers, I started a small vineyard in my backyard two years ago. Most of my new vines are doing great except for two of them that did not grow more than a foot even on the second year. Can any one advise on what to do? Should I replace them, dig them up and replant them in...

Training to establish the two horizontal cordons in the first year

Hello fellow grape growers, When you train your plant to establish the two horizontal cordons in the first year, do you cut the main trunk forming shoot right above the second wire and use the two best lateral shoots emerging from below, or don't cut it and use it for one of the cordons?

Hello all, I have a 40 liter Speidel bladder press and although the pressing process is very easy and enjoyable, when it comes to removing the cake, is a difficult and messy job This is because the inner nylon mesh is usually wrapped around the bottom stem of the bladder and when you try to lift...

    UberVine

Hi all, Has anyone planted the UberVine from Duarte Nursery? this will really give you a head start. Unfortunately they do not sell you less than 200 vines, so the small backyard grower has no chance to buy them, unless he teams up with a few other small growers in the same area.
