WineXpert Recommendations for low end Red kit?

Mezza Luna all the way. the only kit I've made twice so far and surprisingly good for a lower-end kit, especially after about 2-3 months (if you can wait!). I have the Luna Rossa on now, it's big brother - can't wait to try it.

WineXpert WineXpert Eclipse Lodi Cab kit

I just picked up this kit, together with the Eclipse NZ Sauvignon Blanc - they are both on sale for $40.00 just this weekend so I got a great deal! I tasted the cab at the store (bottled 3 months ago) and it was absolutely awesome! Fantastic flavour....

Cellar Craft Sterling Old Vine Zinfandel

I'm wondering if it's from the grape pack? I don't bulk age but still, even with racking you'd still lose a lot, I think. I lost about 5 bottles between the two kits (even after topping up with commercial wine).

Cellar Craft Sterling Old Vine Zinfandel

I just bottled my Pinot Noir and Tempranillo this weekend - holy sludge at the bottom!!!! It totally clogged my filter and I ended up losing about 2 bottles because of all of the thick sludge.

Added kieselsol/chitosan in wrong order to kit

I just did this on my CC Sterling Tempranillo - oops!!!!! added the chitosan about 12 hours before the kieselsol. how did this turn out? I'll probably rack and add superkleer (in the right order this time!) - how long should I wait before doing that? I was about to top up with some commercial...

WineXpert Pinot Gris and Mezza Luna Red review

I agree - the Mezza Luna is a great wine for the price - really good, in my opinion, after just about a month in the bottle, with no tweaks. We bottled in December and only have about 10 bottles left, so that's how good of an early drinker it is. We will try the Trinity Red next though because...

WineXpert LE 2012 Argentine Malbec Bonarda

jrvernon, right now is still hard to tell - it is fairly full bodied, but I only have my lower-end kits to compare it to, and where it's not cleared yet it might be too early to tell. The taste was pretty special - not too dry at all. Can you still get it in your area? If you like Malbec, I'd...

WineXpert LE 2012 Argentine Malbec Bonarda

Just had my first "taste" out of the carboy (started this early-mid January) - wow!!!! what a fabulous taste already. I'm very impressed. I did top up with a commercial Malbec. Unfortunately, it's not clearing like it should - maybe I'm being too impatient but my other (cheaper) WE kits have...
