    Blackberry/Diversol...mmm

    yeah, I did read up on it, and it seems it's used for so many things. So....I tried the wine yesterday and it was fine. As Diversol is a caustic I figure if it didnt burn me at all,it's maybe ok. it didnt affect the taste either. I'm going to leave it for now and continue to read up on it.

    I wonder what adding 1/8th teaspoon on Diversol (accidently) like I did yesterday to my wine will do? 5 gallons. Was nice, now I'm scared of it.

    Has anyone here made Fig wine?

    Your right about the colour of your wine...it's great! I've only had fig wine once and it was pale and insipid...it's nice to know that it doesn't have to turn out that way.

    my first wine...blackberry Hi...I am hoping that my wine will be alright. I used 20lbs of berries and 11 lbs of sugar...quite a different ratio that in this recipe. Its fermenting nicely, won't be due to rack for another few weeks. Does crossing your fingers work?

    Hi everyone... Just introducing myself. I'm a brand new wine maker...I have my first 5 gallon carboy of blackberry wine fermenting it's little heart out....I have enjoyed the process, though a little nervous about it at times...I just want to do everything right. I live in the Gulf Islands...
