    Super Bowl Wine or Beer

    Got home from work about 5 pm. The wife made a taco soup, really good stuff. Then topped it off with some Watermelon merlot and some Orange Muscat during the game. Wish Curt and my old team( from St.Louis) could have pulled it off, but they just did'nt have enough. Too many penalties!! Oh well...

    Pretty cool but hard on the arms for the long ride. I like to lay back and relax so I decided on a 05 Harley Duece. Gettin too old for speed and all that stuff. But anyone who rides is OK in my book. It'l be warm enough here in the midwest for a ride soon, I hope? Going to take some road trips...

    Stubborn labels

    So far I've used the paint razor on the dry bottles. Comes right off. Then use some finger nail polish remover( the wife's ) to get the glue residue off and then wash in the sink withdish soap.

    Well I've sampled some and it is a little boozy but I think with some time it will be pretty good. Seem that it still has all the flavor. We'll be bottling just after Memorial Day and I'll taste again. I'll let ya know how it is then.

    I wish it was that easy. My wife and I have had the same questions and my opinion and hers are very differant when it comes to taste. It would shure be nice to have the touchy, feely, factor but I don't think that is going to happen. Guess I'll just have to keep on drinking till I've tried them...

    WineXpert Green Apple Riesling

    Just started an Island Mist Green Apple Riesling and wanted a little more kick, Soooo, I added about 4# sugar hoping to get the alcohol level up to 11 to 12 percent. Did I do this right? Did I need anymore yeast other than what came with the kit? Too much, Too little?
