OK here goes just starting my first Black Currant 3 gallon batch:
Day 1
Vintners Harvest 96 oz.can
Added 2.6 gallons of water
7 lbs. granulated sugar
Acid Blend 1 tsp.
Yeast Nutrient 1 tsp.
Pectic Enzyme 1 tsp.
Campen Tablets 3 crushed
Starting SG is 1.085
Temp is 68 degrees
Day 2
Stirred...
OK added the last of the nutrients , energizer, and the last bottle of Realemon last night. Now here is my question it's foaming pretty good this morning do I keep whisking it???:slp
Last night's SG was 1.052 when I did my last step.
I’m new to wine making and it will be bottling time shortly. So I got another question for you guys and gals. What brand name and model of bottle filler do you use and why? I just bought a SchucoS130P Medical Aspirator that I can use if needed.
I will be on vacation for the next seven weeks.:fsh I have everything here to make a batch of wine. My question is will it hurt the wine driving it back 1100 miles to home at the end of my vacation? It will be in the secondary carboy.:cw
