Thanks! I guess I'm confused about these "port wine" kits. All the kits I've seen are labeled as dessert wine kits, yet some places (like the "link" above) call the exact same kits "port wine kits". So I guess the ones I mentioned actually are appropriate for fortification into port wine?

Excellent, thanks! So it's not a problem that some of the corks are sticking out about 1/4" either? Is there any way to push them in the rest of the way? Also, why do so many internet sites recommend soaking? Is the soaking detrimental, or simply not necessary?
