Just got back from a 17 day motorcycle trip to the great north east. Rode from S.E. Georgia all the way to Portland, ME. Wife rode her bike and I talked the 14 year old into going by telling him it would be like the movie National Treasure. It is the only way to see the north east. I will say...
Oh this definately was meant for all at the shop. As for the popcorn "I have enough!!". I have that stuff everywhere. I have re-done the floor in the kitchen and the living room with finevinepopcorn.
Not that George needs it, I wanted to give a shout out to him and his store. I got my order the other day and they put in filters instead of filter papers. I understand mistakes happen but he immediately mailed the papers to me and I already received them. He told me to just keep the filters but...
I would like to know what the difinitive answer to what the difference is between the three. With shipping being the same I tend to go to the higher end since I am paying the high shipping costs. If I am going to pay $25.00 or more for shipping I would like to get the best I can afford.
Am I to assume experience has told you not to use the wood cork . I will give them a call and see about getting one. I figure for the kit wines the 23L will be enough and give me a little extra to top off. When my grapes are ready next year or so I may get a bigger one. Thanks and happy fermenting.
When you purchase the 23L barrels from Vadai do they come with the stand to put them on and the spigot or are these extra? I am thinking of getting one and was wondering if they do not come with the spigot do you just roll the barrel over toempty? I am assuming they come with the cork. Thanks.
I really hope this one turns out as I would love to submit it to the winmakers competition. I have made a few kits but have not had that "WOW" wine yet to submit. We will see and if the wife says "WOW" then I will try and hide a couple bottles from her for the competition.
I think you are right about only raisins last year. I did this same kit and no grape pack. I am going to use both in my 10 gal. fermenter and see what happens. Also, I had no problems clearing the amarone last year. It did take two filter padsto filter it tho.
The instructions specifically states to not use both. I would think if that were the case that they would have only included one. I would think do to costs that they wouldonly include one. Well, I was going to use my normal fermentor if I used just the raisins as it will fit. I guess I will put...
I just opened a Meg. Amarone kit I am going to start and it came with the grape pack and the raisins. The instructions say to use one or the other but not both. I am assumuting the grape pack is the way to go but when I look at the grape pack, it is identical to the one I received with my Merlot...
YES they are pricey and the shipping costs kill me. I can not find a local shop that deals in Mosti kits. They carry the cheaper RJ and WE kits. I did not mean that they are a cheaper brand just the lower end of the kits. I am trying to get them to order me a Cru Select Gewurztraminer but we...
