:a1 If I bottle wine in the flip top beer bottles, can I bottle my wine with out completely degassing, say 50%.
Would this make it like champagne?
We like to mix bubbly wines with sherbet ice cream on hot summer nights on the back deck.
Brought the sippin jug in off the back porch last night.
It was only 7 deg. and it was getting slushie.
Woke up this morning, it was -17 here in SE Ohio (Zanesville)

Bought a 4gal water bottle from Sam’s Club (the kind you turn upside down) for under $5 and used it and the water in it to make my root beer.
Is it best to just stick with real sugar?
Bought sugar for my batch of root beer.
One 4lb bag was $3.89 and the one I purchased was $1.99 for 4lbs.
Both bags said the ingredients was sugar. Is there a difference?
Thanks CNM
Thinking of using a fruity homemade wine instead of water when making a batch of cream soda or lemon-lime pop.
I will then bottle it in used 16oz water bottles. Kind of like a wine cooler.
Any suggestions on ratios?
Sounds good. Maybe admin will change it for me
Most of the other sites have a section for root beer and pop making. I though maybe you did not want pop and other off topic items on your site so I used “off topic” hoping not to get into to trouble.
