Before I moved I had a just such a farmer. It got to the point that I would call and tell him how much I needed and he would have it ready for me . And would give me one heck of a discount , as long as I promised to give him a bottle our 3 lol
When I made wine before using cider I was told out had to be unpasteurized. Now I am seeing people use pasteurized cider. An I correct in assuming this ? If so how do I undo the pasturization?
My first time bottleing I had the same problem. Its not the corks fault its the corker. The two lever corkers are good. But spend the extra money for a portugese or Italian floor corker. Well worth the cost.
Actually I'm a rebeginer. Been about 5 or ten years since I made wine. Guess its in my blood. I couldn't just do it small I jumped back in with both feet!!!! 15 gls of merlot going right now in secondary.

If this is your first or primary fermantation it should be fine. If I remember from years ago of wine making. The 1st fermantation needs as much oxygen as possible. But wait and see what other responses you get.
