On my first batch of pear wine i waited too long to make my first rack from the fermenter. It was at .10 when it should have been done at .30 What negative isuues should i be looking for? or have i ruined the batch? It smells ok, and tastes ok. At the moment anyway.

I ferment almost all of my wine to dry in the primary and find this way much easier for many reasons. It helps in gas expulsion and also lets much more solids fall out so your not racking over all that heavy solids. Just make sure to put a bung and airlock on at around 1.020 or there abouts. Doing it this way also is safer as some fermentations can still be pretty active at 1.030 thus clogging the airlock and spraying your ceiling which is not uncommon at all!!!

RELAX !
No problem. At this point wait till it goes dry like Wade said. Then remove the fruit and rack. Continue like you should.
