I went from bulk aging at 8mos to bottling this. Gonna give it a taste test soon but will likely let it age another year in the bottle. :dg

Well most of the ports I've read about seemed to have a much higher SG to start with and since the instructions don't say what to expect that's why I'm asking.

I'm getting ready to make this. I'm curious. How long did you let it age in the bottle before drinking (if any)?

I made my label a template and simply change the Manufacturer name, series, type, ABV, and finishing date. I also use different colored shrink caps for organization.

Strait is a family name. As for the taste it was great. Its been aging about 10 months now. I tried some at 6 mos and it definitely tasted young. Now it tastes pretty good.

It been several months and my Shiraz tastes pretty good now. =)

I'm curious how everyone keeps their tubes clean. It seems that after every time I clean them and put them back they always seems to retain moisture in them. I just want to make sure I don't incur mold growth in them etc. I always run cleaning solution and kmeta through them when I am done...

So I just went through my first bottling and I didn't sanitize my corks. Now I've been browsing the forums and I keep seeing lots of posts about cork sanitizing. Should I expect to run into issues now? I went straight from bag to bottle.
