    Wine bottles

    Can I use screw top wine bottles or only the corkers? When I bottle beer i don't use screw tops because the glass is generally too thin to hold the cap and it doesn't make a good seal. I didn't know if the same thing applied to wine bottles. Thanks.

    I have wine in a carboy for thirty years. I opened it. It tastes like a tawny port. A little hot on the alcohol. Going to bottle it. Anything I should watch out for?

    OK. Thanks for the feedback. Guess I will go without filtering. I'm just not going to pay $200 for a motorized filter.

    Filtering

    I want to filter my wine. I have a 10 inch in line filter with a 5 micron filter. Can I use that to filter wine without any I'll effects? I've attached it to my auto siphon and it's slow but seems to work with water.
