    Univity My pumpkin still has a slight off taste to it yet. Better than the commercial bottle I bought last year, but still not as I expected. It is getting better with each raking. Has anyone had success using canned pumpkin instead of whole pumpkins.

    Kyles been checking the firmness of the bottle a couple of times everyday and we finally are going to put in the fridge tonite. Do not need to re-decorate the walls if it explodes. Mom would not be pleased.

    He just turned 8 and he likes to help me work the wine. So we make rootbeer just like making wine. Cleaning everything with one-step, making a yeast starter, etc... And in this case he gets to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

    Started abatch of rootbeer tonite with myson. He really enjoys being the one doing themeasuringand mixing of the ingredients. I find it a great way to get himinvolved with the whole process. Final product. Let it ferment for a few days to carbonate and ready for him to enjoy.
