I hated it at first and didn't tell anyone about it. I bottles and stuck it in my closet for a year and 3 months. Wow what an improvement. I know have people asking me to make some for them.
Mine did it as well. I really like this yeast and I think I'm going to try it on my blueberry mead I'm planning. I have some apple I need to do as wells .
I'm actually getting ready to work on some apple wine today. I hope at least. I keep forgetting to get them out of the freezer. I think I saved enough for 3 or 4 gallons.
Would you ever be able to get the smell out of the primary? Or secondary for that matter? I've heard some horror stories of wines people tried and they left a smell behind that gt into the next batch they made.
I back sweeter mine with apple juice that I boiled down to almost no water then added it. The apple flavor really came out after that and it help make it sweeter. Win win in my book.

I think I'm going with 8 plants total. But I'm not sure of the second batch of 4 yet. As soon as I have some time to do some more reading ill figure it out. I know I want them to be reds though doe sure.
Do you know by any chance if that wine was a blend? I've never had any wine from this grape but several people have said its good plus it's cold hardy which is needed in Indiana where I live.
