I just picked up a bottle of Five Oaks Shiraz for $3.33. I'd seen it in the local Rite Aid for the past few years and my curiosity finally got the best of me. For that price, I expected crap. I was wrong ... it's actually pretty good. Not world class by any stretch, but a solid everyday table...

2 1/2 hours... now that's impressive. I wish I were that efficient. Excellent labels... all of them.

I keep my tank in the fridge... I'm sure there's some advantage to keeping the gas at a warmer temp, but it's been working great for me. Of course, you may be able to fit more brew in the fridge if the tank sits outside. Here's my setup...

The Wyeast (4007) liquid culture is half the price of the dry cultures I've seen. Has anyone had experience with this product or know of any reason I shouldn't try it?

I'll admit, I didn't think the data would be all that accurate. I guess I figured that the field sampling density wouldn't be high enoughtomake accurate assumptions for small areas of land and that thesoil dlineations and descriptions would be greatly generalized. I was wrong... For one...

My back porch and vines would'velooked nice here.... We had a contract on this place, but the perc test... let's just say it didn't govery well. Just as well... that view wouldn't mean a thing ina coupleyears when the vines start suffering and the septic system fails.
