    Another Wisconsinite!

Well, figured that I would do my intro since I saw that another Wisconsinite was on top!! I am currently from NE WI but now find myself right smack dab in the middle of the state. Finally got into winemaking last fall, after wanting to for a while, and I currently have about 13 gallons either in...

    What's in Your Airlock?

I was using water, but I have come upon a rather larger supply of vodka. Since I don't drink vodka very often I will be filling airlocks with it for now on. I also heard that the vodka will not evaporate very quickly at all compared to water for aging purposes.

    Airlock on the primary?

The stuff that I made has a bite the very first swallow, but then the palate must get used to it and it is awesome from there on...

I moved them up here because the basement was getting too cold since I quit burning wood for the year down there. I will be moving them back down once summer starts around here. It is interesting...

    Secondaries and light?

Question about my location for my secondaries. The best place for my carboys to be out of the way, yet out of the basement so that they can stay warm enough is in my sunroom. Will the light affect the wine while it is still in the carboys? I know that light is not good for bottled wine, will it...
