Thanks for all the advice so far.
My wine has actually been crystal clear for a few months now. Not sure how I managed to get the lucky with my first batch ever!

I have 5 gallons of apple that has been fermenting/clearing for almost 7 months now. I added oak chips for a month and removed them about 2 months ago and now I'm looking into finishing and bottling. That brings me to my questions.
I was going to split my 5 gallons into 1 - 3 gallon carboy...
Could you please advise me on when I should do all of this then? This is my very 1st batch of homemade. I wasn't ready to go all homemade yet, but was given cider and told to make wine! Ha!

- SG 1.082 prior to fermentation
10-20-2013 - SG .996 after primary fermentation in bucket
- Transfer to carboy

Thanks for the quick response! Just continue to rack every few weeks now? That's all that's left in the instructions other than adding anti-oxident before bottling.
Thanks again for the very quick response! I didn't want to end up with apple cider vinegar!
I'm new at wine making and just started my 1st kit a few weeks ago. I was then given 5 gallons of fresh pressed apple cider last Sunday and told "here, make wine". I have no clue on making wine from scratch yet, but got out a recipe book and followed the instructions. I had the wine in a...
