It's been sitting without a seal... That would ruin it wouldn't it?

Oh wait... Never mind I destroyed this little batch by not filling up the air lock.. So it been suiting dry for a month now.. Crap.. Lessons learned with each batch ;)

Hmm.. Well.. It's been sitting like that with no top ups.. I'll be filtering and adding to top it up.. For bottling.. My question is!! What if I used a red Wine to top it up instead of a grape extract? Any suggestions on what it might do??

Well, finally bottled a Glad Hatter Chardonnay I've had bulk aging a month! LoL! We bottled our Red Pee, and I racked and Degassed a Shiraz. Only thing left to do is bottle a Zin/Shiraz blend.. But that'll have to wait 2 weeks.. Also we did a family brunch, spent 4hrs on the road picking up...

Muahahaha!! Well I finally got moved into the new place and working on the wine room!! Cleared some Skeeter Pee ;) so taking a breather to scan for some recipes on my next creation!!

Heh the first try was fun so we decided to make another.. Except this time we used a zin/syrah blend... Think this might change the taste much??

Well, here's my question.. I made a gallon of blueberry wine.. And followed all the instructions.. So far so good.. In fact it's been super learning the process.. Anyways.. The question. After racking it there is a gap like this.. Will that air gap pose a problem? or should it be...

Today... Renos.. Followed by a nap.. Followed by starting 2 kits.. A replacement kit that was "soapy" upon their analyze.. One prob being, I don't use soap.. And as starting a Glad Hatter kit.. Currently I have 120 bottles on the go in my basement.. It could be a good summer LoL

So.. Everything is going great and at .096 SG, I racked it and placed it into a clean and sanitized carboy. So.. Curious now... Do you guys top up your carboys? Or just leave it the way it is? Here's how's it's looking!!

I did nothing!! I had planned on tossing in some yeast after work yesterday since nothing had happened.. And poof.. Bubbles and slight surface foam.. Today.. As above.. Guess the suns gotta shine on a dogs butt once in awhile..
