Yes mlf will not help the kit. May just want to sulfite and age on some oak cubes or stave for few months then bottle. There are lots of modifications you can do to kits that have been discussed on here And mlf is not one of them. Personally my best mod was aging my kits in barrel.

Looking great. I have a similar transfer pump I tried using to pump free run to tank and it would keep getting clogged in the small filter canister even using a rough pvc filter like yours. Yours seems to be flowing nicely to your wall mounted tanks.

Try Avante. Used it last few years with great results

But I think the other must distributors sell the 5 gallon pails also. I can’t remember off hand the weight of Brehms and winegrapesdirect pails though. Maybe this company is not selling full pails hence cheaper price.

Thanks for the replies. When you add the mlb during fermentation to you alter your yeast Fermaid or dap additions and do you still add your mlb nutrients during the primary or wait till you press and first rack?

I have used Avante last year and was looking into co-inoculating with vp41 sometime during primary. Any of you have experience doing this? Thanks

Are you barrel aging. Seemed to always improve my kits.

I don’t have any citric any reason I couldn’t use tartaric? Same ratio?
