Yes, this forum has been well kept in the time I've been lurking. That's one reason I joined is that's it's civil and has a great group of wino's. As far as 'active' members; I don't think it's the volume that's important but active members and actual buying members that make a site valuable...

    Mosti Mondiale MM Impressions Barolo

The last time I purchased a Meglioli kit, yes it was separate. Those kits are heavy and I was paying something around $180 delivered including the additional grape pack. If you're going to pay extra for "packaging" it would be in the shipping and not in the initial pricing as FVW has it. The...

    Hello from South Florida

I have a winter home in Florida where I am headed shortly. :-) My recommendation is to find a local store in Florida as you'll save plenty on shipping of wine kits which are notoriously heavy. There are a couple of great stores there that I deal with. My favorite especially for discounting...

WineXpert Spanish Tempranillo with Grape Skin Pack

Where did Cellar Craft come from. I'm discussing the Mosti packs. And why FVW is selling a Mosti pack for $3 more in his Amarone kit than the same thing on the meglioli kits. Ah, who cares. Caveat Emptor. And BTW.... I bought some Spagnols EP kits for $110 each; that's a deal.

    Mosti Mondiale MM Impressions Barolo

I just bought 5 kits of Amarone Winery Series for $90 plus shipping on special. I can buy them all day long for $100. So where is that comparable to a Renaissance kit? Your'e talking $25 more per kit for something I don't think is equivalent. It may be equivalent in size but not the quality of...

    Cellar Craft Celler Craft SOLD

I think Vineco will do a fine job at manufacturing and distribution; it will just take time to get it organized and up and running. It will be great to see more retailers handling the product. Maybe we'll get some lower pricing as a result of the competition or lower shipping if there are more...

    Mosti Mondiale MM Impressions Barolo

This is a discussion best left alone as I don't want to get into controversy over nonsense. Let me just say that I was buying these kits for a lot less than you can buy them for today (and I don't mean because of any manufacturer increase). After buying and paying for them delivered what...

    Mosti Mondiale MM Impressions Barolo

These Renaissance kits are very good and now with the grape pack added makes them especially bold and fruity. The only drawback is the price. I have one Ren Barolo aging and it will be my last along with 3 - 6 gallon carboys of Meg Pinot Noir. I think I have a couple Meg Old Vine Zin aging too...

OOPS! Gentlemen and Gentlewoman; hope that corrects it. Didn't see that at first. :-)

    Greetings Fellow Wine Enthusiasts

Well gentlemen, thank you for the hearty welcome! I do certainly appreciate it very much. At this point we have the following aging: 24 gallons of CRP from last year; 12 gallons of Amarone; 24 gallons of lambrusco; a few 6 gallon carboys of LE kits and 12 gallons each Petit Verdot and Nero both...

    Greetings Fellow Wine Enthusiasts

Hi There.... Been making kit wines for quite a while now and decided after lurking for a while to join in and share info. I have well over 1,000 bottles in my cellar and always have 4-6 kits going at the same time; sometimes more. And no, I'm not addicted; I keep telling myself. I give away...
