I have made cherry wine in the past using the standard fruit and water to 6 gallons...it turned out not too bad. I know people have used wine kits as a base for their fruit wines but I haven't tried it yet.

I am thinking of using a white zin as a base for my cherry wine (have about 25 - 30 pounds of cherries) and was hoping by doing this, I would not have to tweak the wine quite so much.

Comments and suggestions?

No hints from anybody? Has anyone had good luck using a kit as a base?
