This is a 5 gallon batch of Blackberry/Elderberry with about 27 lbs. blackberries, 11 lbs elderberries and 5 pounds of sugar to an SG of 1.086.
About 33 hours after adding the yeast starter with Goferm I did the following.
I added 1/2 dose (4 grams) of FermaidO. It was just past 2/3 sugar depletion with an SG of 1.021.
Later, when I had time I did some reading, and found it was recommenced to not add nutrient past 50% sugar depletion. I mistakenly thought it was 2/3 sugar depletion that you should not go past.
Is there anything I should about this?
Add extra k-meta when I rack off?
Would fining agent settle out any left over nutrient?
Or, let it go and don't worry about it?
Thanks,
Dave
