Lbs. of muscadines for 6 gallon fermenter?

In a 6 gallon bucket fermenter how many lbs.of muscadines in a strainer bag would you feel safe with so you would have adequate space?LCW

I would say around 55 or 60 pounds. You want to leave 30% extra room.

I've put between 23 and 30 pounds of muscadines in a 5 gallon primary. This includes some water. Are you adding any water? If not, I think there are people on here who make muscadine wine without adding water and who could give you a more helpful answer. You may need to be concerned about acidity if you're not adding water.

I'm sure I'll add water I generally do I think I'll be ok with 22-23 lbs.per primary.Thanks LCW
