I have 4 gallons of blueberry elderberry(14%) that I would like to try for a port. I did the claculator and it said to add 1 gallon of 90 proof brandy to get 20% abv.
questions.
1) is 20% good for the port?
2) Should i sorbet and sulfite?
3) what is a good starting point for the s.g. for back sweetening?
4) any suggestions on what brandy i should use?
