Well everyone says that each batch has new things to learn. Today, while using my plastic whip to degass my 6 gallons of Pinot, the whip decided to come loose from the drill and take a dip. It was fully sanitized( I hope) and I cannot get it out. My next transfer is in 8-10 days. Any issues with letting it stay until the transfer??

If the drill end was not oily or overly dirty fuggitaboutit. Fishing it out would be fun though.

Had that happen before. I racked then while everything was stired up. Had no issues there.

You should be fine - I have left bungs in my carboys (that have fell in by mistake ) for months prior to transfer and who knows whats else - LOL

Ok - I'll wait it out until transfer. Degassing seems to be the hardest / most stressfull thing for me.

The drill was just out of the box new so no issues there about being too dirty.
