    Water Bottles for Fermenters

Are the fillable water bottles they sell at wal-mart safe for use as fermenters? The label says they are BPA free, but I was kind of leery about it, especially using them as a secondary. Any thoughts on this? My budget doesn't really support getting 5 gallon glass carboys at this point.

    Question about stabilizing/bottling

How long is it generally recommended to wait after stabilization before you bottle?

    Isinglass question

Agreed. I've learned a lot from this forum and others like it. My first batch, while it wouldn't win any prizes, came out definitely "drinkable" so I figure I'm on a roll.

    Isinglass question

I've heard that about super kleer as well, but isinglass is what I have on hand....thanks for the answer though. I'm still pretty new at this and I don't really know what I'm doing yet.

    Isinglass question

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I'm going to do it again. Should isinglass be added after degassing, or should I wait until my wine clears some before I use it? Either way, anyone have an idea of how much (liquid form) to use per gallon?

    Gerber baby food wine

What about using it to backsweeten? I would think that it cut down on the lees. Not too sure how hard it would be to clear, though.
