I used the concentrate for my favereds starburst wine and to me, it had a light red wine taste on the palate and finished with a sweet fruity taste. It didn't last long as everyone who drank it really enjoyed it. Even my non wine drinking friends.

I'm doing a small batch of both red and white. The first one was a red. I have the white going now. Whichever tastes better I will make a 6gal batch..

I have the Lodi Zin bulk aging. I have it a taste after my last racking and it was good then. Can't wait until it ages.

I work on a sorbitol plant and I can tell you that the berries you used do contain small amounts of sorbitol naturally. It could be where the taste is coming from.

I have the mini jet also and mainly use the #2 unless it looks cloudy or hazy in a glass. Then I'll use a #1 and settle for a couple weeks before filtering with a #2 before bottling.
