    Corks vs. screwtop bottles

    This is probably a real rookie question, but here goes: I've been reading lately that the best wines are now bottled without corks, but with screw-tops. I was just wondering what all you pros think of this?

I'd love to make wine at home but I'd also love to make my own beer ("I fear no beer") -- no time for either at the moment, so I'm just reading up.
